CAROLE MOUSSET
Born in France, she studied at the Beaux-Arts in Nantes and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where she currently lives and works. Winner of the 2022 Novembre à Vitry painting prize, she has recently exhibited at the Ballroom Gallery in Brussels, the Confort Moderne in Poitiers, as well as at Chapelle XIV and Suzanne Tarasieve Gallery in Paris.
Carole Mousset’s work delves into an internal exploration of the body, offering a reimagined, fantastical vision where the body becomes a vessel for constantly shifting fluids. Primarily through painting, sometimes in dialogue with ceramics or photographic montages, she creates organic and dreamlike landscapes that oscillate between softness and disgust, gore and eroticism.
